Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (IIT JAM 2017) is national level exam that is conducted by various IISC or IIT rotationally. It is held for providing admission in M.Sc (Two years), M.Sc. Ph.D, Joint M.Sc. Ph.D, M.Sc.-M.Tech and other Post-Bachelor Degree Programmes at IITs and Integrated Ph.D degree programmes

Eligibility Criteria

Both Indian and Foreign Candidates can apply.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree.
Candidates belong to the General/OBC-NCL Category, have to get at least 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree, without rounding off. Candidates who belong to the SC/ST and PwD Category


Examination Pattern

Mode: Computer Based Test
No. of questions: 60 divided in three section viz. A, B, C
Marking Scheme: 60 questions carrying 100 marks
Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking in Section B and Section C.
Time Duration: 3 hours

i) Female candidates (all categories): Rs.1050/-
; ii) Male & Others candidates (General /OBC): Rs.2100/-;
