Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) was set up in the year 2008 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to take into account the instructive needs of the commendable provincial youth of Andhra Pradesh. Administration of Andhra Pradesh set up three establishments (IIITs) under Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) at Basara (Adilabad dt), Nuzivid (Krishna dt) and Rajiv Knowledge Valley (Kadapa dt).

Six - Years Integrated Course
The system offered by the RGUKT comprises of a six year coordinated course after tenth class examination prompting a B.Tech. degree. The initial segment of the six-year course is a two-year Pre University Course (proportionate to (AP) Intermediate) trailed by a second some portion of four-year Engineering Course. At present the pre-college piece of training offers untimely specialization in tracks, for example, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Life sciences (equal to MPC + BiPC). By acquiring understudies to the University at a prior stage we plan to give an expansive based instruction including humanities and aesthetic sciences to understudies.
