Admission To Regional Engineering Colleges In India
I am interested in taking admission in Regional Engineering College of India ? Will you please provide the admission Procedure ? Notification on the admission procedure for BE/B Tech/B Sc(Engg)/B Arch degree programmes at the Regional Engineering Colleges is issued by the Department of Education. MHRD calls applications for entrance test/admission is issued by the respective RECs. It is generally comes out in January/February Date differs from State to State Admission Procedure Applicants seeking admission to one or any other Regional Engineering College are required to submit only one application. The application forms are to be obtained from and submitted to the Principals of the Regional Engineering Colleges having jurisdiction over area from which the applicants have passed the qualifying exam. The location of the School/Colleges attended by the applicant for the qualifying exam is taken as the criteria. The jurisdiction of 17 RECs is indicated below: Regional Engineering College, Warangal Andhra Pradesh Regional Engineering College, Silchar Assam, Arunachal pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and SikKim, Regional Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur Bihar S V Regional College of Engineering & Technology, Surat Gujarat Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirapalli Tamilnadu, Pondicherry, Mahe and Yanam Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad Uttar Pradesh Regional Engineering College, Durgapur West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi Regional Engineering College Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh Regional Engineering College, Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal Karnataka, Goa, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli Regional Engineering College, Calicut Kerala, Lakshadweep and Kaindive Islands Maulana Azad College of Technology, Bhopal Madhya Pradesh Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering Nagpur Maharashtra Regional Engineering College, Rourkela Orissa Dr B R Ambedkar Regional Engineering College, Jalandhar Punjab Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur Rajasthan Academic programmes of all the RECs are managed by their Board of Governors. The academic programmes are affiliated with one of the Universities. Allocation 50% of the seats are reserved for the applicants of the State in which the college is situated and the remaining 50% of seats are earmarked for applicants from other States with quota for each State based on population.
