When Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will publish notification for Special Class Railway Apprentices requirement and what is the selection procedure for this requirement? Please tell me about it because I want to apply for this requirement?

Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) on behalf of Indian Railways for four years of apprenticeship. Eligibility: Applicants must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent Examination of a University or Board approved by Govt of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination. Graduates with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects. Age Limit: Applicants should have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21. Age relaxations is applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC Applicants as per rules. Selection Process: Applicants are selected based on Written Examination & Interview. Application Fee: Applicants have to pay Rs. 100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit card and no fee for SC/ ST/ Female/ PH Applicants. Exam pattern The Examination will be conducted according to the following plan. Part I: Written Examination consists 3 papers with Objective Type (multiple choice answer) questions and question papers given in English Language only. Time duration for each paper is 2 hours and maximum marks for General Ability test 200, Physical Science 200, Mathematics 200, Total Written Examination carries 600 marks.Paper Subject Maximum Marks Paper-I General Ability Test (English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test) 200 Paper-II Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) 200 Paper-III Mathematics 200 Total marks 600 Part II: Personality Test carrying a maximum of 200 marks in respect of only those candidates who are declared qualified on the results of written examination. |
