Air Force Common Admission Online Test (AFCAT) Entry is the biggest test conducted for inducting officer in IAF. This test inducts both men and women as officers in all the three branches of IAF, i.e. Flying, Technical and Ground Duty.


AFCAT is conducted twice every year by IAF, and includes an added test called EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) for Technical branch aspirants.

Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years

Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of course. Widows/Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.
