AFCAT Number of Seats

Hello can anyone share me the information about the total number of seats for the Technical post of AFCAT, as I want to attain the examination of AFCAT so please provide me the details so I can apply for the AFCAT examination?

AFCAT 01/2017 welcomes ambitious and Adventurous Indian Citizens (Men and Women) to join the Indian Air Force as dispatched Officers in Flying Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches. Enlistment for online application will open on 03rd December 2016 and close on 29th December 2016

AFCAT 2017

Online applications are welcomed for the courses beginning in January 2018 for fabulous of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches

Qualification Criteria

Flying (203/18F/SSC/M&W)

Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any teach from a perceived University who have achieved least 60% imprints or identical and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or BE/B Tech degree (Four year course) or cleared segment An and B Exam of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a perceived University with least 60% imprints or equal

Age Limit for Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 01st Jan 2018 i.e. Conceived between 02nd Jan 1994 to 01st Jan 1998 (Both Dates comprehensive). Upper age confine for Candidates holding substantial and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. Conceived between 02nd Jan 1992 to 01st Jan 1998 (Both dates comprehensive)

Ground Duty (Technical) 202/18T/PC/M 202/18T/SSC/M &W

Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)} - Candidates with least 60% denote each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and at least four year degree graduation/coordinated post-graduation capability in Engineering/Technology from perceived University or cleared Sections An and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate enrollment examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by real reviews with at least 60% imprints or proportionate in the accompanying orders:

i. Aerospace Engineering
ii. Aeronautical Engineering
iii. Aircraft Maintained Engineering
iv. Mechanical Engineering
v. Mechanical Engineering and Automation
vi. Mechanical Engineering (Production)
vii. Mechanical Engineering (Repair and Maintained)
viii. Mechatronics
ix. Industrial Engineering

Age Limit for Technical Engineering Branch: 20 to 26 years as on 01 Jan 2018 i.e. conceived between 02nd Jan 1992 to 01st Jan 1998 (both dates comprehensive)

Choice Procedure

All candidates whose applications are put together by due date will be called for AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) on 26 February 2017 (Sunday) at one of the exam focuses

The AFCAT will be of two hours term and will contain various decision inquiries on verbal capacity, numerical capacity, thinking, general mindfulness and military fitness

Test address papers and syllabus of AFCAT/EKT is accessible on IAF profession site



EKT would be for 45 minutes and directed instantly after AFCAT. It is compulsory for the hopefuls selecting ground obligation (specialized) branch to pass both AFCAT and EKT

Hopefuls who are short-recorded on the premise of AFCAT/EKT will be called for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, Varanasi or Kancharapara. Hopefuls who settle on flying branch can select Dehradun, Mysore and Varanasi as it were. The testing would comprise of three phases as given beneath:

Arrange I - Test comprising of Intelligence Test alongside different tests will be directed on the principal day. Organize I test is a screening test and just the individuals who qualify would experience resulting testing. All Stage-I qualified applicants would be subjected to report check to find out their qualification for the branches connected for

Arrange II - Testing comprising of Psychological, Group Tests and Interview will be led on ensuing days (Five Days)

For Flying Branch – CPSS would be regulated to qualified hopefuls. This is unique test. Hopefuls who have fizzled the (CPSS)/PABT in a prior endeavor or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying preparing at Air Force Academy won't be qualified to apply

As on 13th February 2017, there has been no intimation published on the number od=f seats which are available through the AFCAT 2017-1 entrance test.
