After B.E ECE Eligible For IAS Exam
I have completed BE in ECE branch and now want to appear in IAS exam so please tell me am I eligible for it or not?

Yes of course you are eligible to appear in IAS exam after completing BE in ECE branch, because it is also a graduation degree which you have completed Eligibility: Candidate should be a citizen of India Candidate must have passed graduation degree from recognized university. Age limit: 21 to 32 years Exam Pattern The preliminary examination will consist of two objective type paper. Paper I- General Studies (2 hours) Paper II- Aptitude Test (2 hours) Exam Syllabus The IAS preliminary exam comprises of two papers; paper I and II. The time duration and syllabus for IAS Prelims are as follows: Paper I - General Studies Marks: 200 Duration: 2 hours Topics Current events of national and international importance History of India and Indian National Movement Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights, Issues, etc. Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc. General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization General Science Paper II - Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) Marks: 200 Duration: 2 hours Topics Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills Logical reasoning and analytical ability Decision-making and problem-solving General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc. - Class X level) Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. - Class X level) English language comprehension skills (Class X level) |
