The IPS exam is part of the Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

Age limit:
Must be at least 21 years of age and not be older than 30 years

Age Relaxation:-
(i) Upto a maximum of five years for Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.

(ii) Upto a maximum of three years for Other Backward Classes

Educational qualification:
Must have passed graduation degree in any discipline from recognized University

OBCs: 7 times
SC/ST: No limit

CSE consists of three phases
1) CSAT
2) Civil Services Mains
3) IPS Interview.
