Staff Selection Commission conducts various examinations to select the deserving candidates for various vacant seats. SSC conducts the most popular examination named CGL – Combined Graduate Level exam in the month of August. Age Limit : NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP : A candidate must be either : (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan Eligibility : Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard level: OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level. Application Fee ; General & OBC Candidates Required to pay Rs.100/- as fees and Reserved Candidates (ST/SC)/PH/Women /Ex-Servicemen Category candidates are exempted from fees Selection process : The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below : Tier -I — Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type) Tier -II — Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type) Tier -III — Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification CGL Tier I Exam Pattern PART Subject No. Of Questions Maximum Marks A General Intelligence & Reasoning 50 50 B General Awareness 50 50 C Quantitative Aptitude 50 50 D English Comprehension 50 50 TIER II PATTERN:- It will also be Objective Type Paper.
