Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is an authorized body to conduct Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination. UPSC IFS Exam Eligibility Criteria Age Limits: 21 years - 30 years. Upper age limit relax able as: Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: Up to a maximum of five years. Other Backward Classes: Up to a maximum of three years. State of Jammu & Kashmir (Domiciled during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989: Up to a maximum of five years. Defence Services personnel : Up to a maximum of five years. Minimum Education Qualification: Graduation/bachelor’s degree is required . Number of attempts: General candidates: six attempts. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction. Other Backward Classes: Nine attempts. Selection Process: Preliminary Examination (Objective type) Main Examination Interview |
