As you requires here I am giving you information about the age limit and age relaxation for appear in civil service exam of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Eligibility for UPSC – Civil service exam : Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India. Age Limits: Minimum age: 21 years Not exceed 32 years Upper age limit relaxed as: Up to 5 years for candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe. Up to 3 years for candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes Up to 5 years for the candidate who had been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980-31st December, 1989. Up to 3 years in the case of Defense Services personnel disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof. Up to a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped candiadtes Education qualification : Any graduation degree is required . Number of Attempts: For General Category : 6 attempts till 32 years of age. For OBC Category : 9 attempts till 35 years of age. For SC/ST Category : unlimited attempts till 37 years of age. |
