The Scheme of Emeritus Fellowship plans to use the administrations of very qualified and experienced superannuated Professors at AICTE endorsed Institutions/Colleges/University Departments giving specialized instruction (barring MHRD supported Institutes/Universities i.e., IITs, IISc, IIMs and NITs and so forth.) in animating and accomplishing perfection in Technical Education i.e. in Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Management, Pharmacy, Applied Arts and Crafts and different ranges according to the AICTE Act.

Under this plan, Emeritus Fellow, who is in administration, may include himself in a host institutionlocated close-by his own particular Institute. He might give a part of the time (20 percent of aggregate time) in the host Institution. Emeritus Fellow, who is not in administration, may include himself in a host institutionon full time premise in the host Institution.

Compensation to the Emeritus Fellow for greatest time of two years might be financed through this plan.

The Fellowship is recompensed for:

Era of indigenous learning asset materials, manuals, best in class reports, monographs, reference books, hand-books, codes of practice, principles, related monographs in separate fields of specialization especially in the territories of importance to the exercises of AICTE to meet the prerequisites of EDUSAT Program.

An Emeritus Fellow needs to educate no less than one course in the host Institution.

Proposing, executing, controlling and checking of undertakings in the field of Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy/Architecture/Town Planning/Management/Applied Arts and Crafts and for the improvement of an AICTE affirmed Technical Institution.

Doing innovative work in application zones of expert/specialized training.

Creating rising areas of information/inventive schools of thought in the field of 'Specialized Education'.

As a part of the above goals, an Emeritus Fellow may include himself in a creating institution(host establishment) found adjacent his own Institute. He should dedicate a part of the time (20 percent of aggregate time) for offering driving force to consultancy, research, upgrading of courses, industry-foundation communication, plan for examination of those undertakings for which mastery is not accessible in the host establishment.

Qualification

The individual ought to be a recognized pioneer (master) in that specific field of specialization, who has been effectively occupied with instructing/innovative work in Technical Education.
