Every year the AIIMS is invited notification for MDS in May and January month. The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS) conducts AIIMS PG national level entrance exam for admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes in various courses offered under Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences.

AIIMS PG entrance exam is conducted twice in a year, one for January and other for July session

The computer based AIIMS PG July session exam has been conducted on May 8, 2016 and the result of AIIMS PG 2016 was declared on May 14.

Exam Pattern:

For MDS:
Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)
No. of questions: 90 Objective based multiple choice questions
Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response
Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS
