The All India Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS Entrance Examination (AIIMS MBBS) was conducted in online mode i.e. computer based test (CBT).

It is of 3 hours and 30 minutes conducted in morning and forenoon sessions. The online question booklet of AIIMS MBBS exam has 200 multiple choice and reason-assertion type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge.

The AIIMS MBBS counselling is conducted in offline mode which means candidates have to attend the counselling in person as per the schedule allotted to their rank.

In each category i.e. UR, OBC, SC & ST, the total no. of candidate to be called for counselling will be 4 times the number of seats available in each category.

All reserved category candidates who qualify in the open (general) merit list (4 times of the open category seats) will necessarily have to attend the counselling for open category seats.

Out of these, 11 seats are reserved for the SC 05 Seats are reserved for the ST 19 Seats are reserved for OBC and 37 Seats for General Category for Indian Nationals

A 3% reservation for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped [OPH] is provided on horizontal basis, in the seats available

Six other AIIMS:
In the six new AIIMS (viz: Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh,) with intake of 100 students each, the reservation policy followed is 7.5% ST, 15% SC and 27% OBC, for Indian Nationals
