Hello sir I am here as I want to get the details of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AIIMS PG ) 2016 so will you please provide me the details??

Hey!!! All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS) conducts AIIMS PG national level entrance exam for admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes in various courses offered under Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences.


Eligibility Criteria:

-Candidate must possess a MBBS degree from a recognized university by Medical Council of India if they are seeking an admission to MD/MS programmes

- Candidate must have completed the required 12 Months rotating internship/practical training

-The candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in MBBS if he/she belongs to general category or an aggregate of 50% marks if he/she belongs to SC/ST categor .


Exam Pattern:

For MD/MS:


-Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)

-Number of Questions: 200 Objective based multiple choice questions

-Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response

-Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response

-Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes


For MDS:

-Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)

-No. of questions: 90 Objective based multiple choice questions

-Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response

-Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response

-Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS

Candidates Passed MBBS from AIIMS 25.25%

General + Sponsored/Foreign National candidates 25.25%

SC Candidates 15%

ST Candidates 7.50%

OBC Candidates 27%

Total - 100%
