AIIMS PG Medical Entrance Exam is conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi for admissions to Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS)

AIIMS PG 2017 July session entrance exam will be conducted on May 7, 2017.

AIIMS PG entrance exam is conducted twice a year for admissions to approximately 183 MD/MS programmes in Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences and seven MDS programmes each in its January and July session.

AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have an MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS from a recognized institution recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India

Candidates must have completed the 12 months of rotating internship on or before April 30, 2017

Candidate belonging to general category must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while it is 50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories

Online application form to begin in March, 2017
Last date for filling online application April, 2017
Date for checking status of application through
the registered status tab of their My Page after login April, 2017
Last date for submitting documents April, 2017
Uploading of admit cards April, 2017
AIIMS PG 2017 July session online exam date May 7, 2017
AIIMS PG 2017 July session result May 13, 2017
First counseling June 5, 2017
Second counselling June 13, 2017
Open counseling August 24, 2017

AIIMS PG Exam Pattern

AIIMS PG is a Computer Based Test (CBT).

For MD/MS and MDS

For MD/MS:

Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)

Number of Questions: 200 Objective based multiple choice questions

Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response

Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes

For MDS:

Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)

No. of questions: 90 Objective based multiple choice questions

Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response

Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS
