Re: Aiims uveitis
Dr. Rajendra Prasad Center for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi will finish 34 years throughout its life. The Center has lifted itself by its bootstraps and changed over itself from a little office on the fourth floor of AIIMS to a sprawling seven story independent complex with autonomous offices for Ocular Biochemistry, Ocular Pharmacology, Ocular Pathology and Ocular Microbiology notwithstanding it's twelve operation theatres and 300 indoor beds. Dr. R.P. Focus has developed as a summit place for giving ophthalmic human services administrations (preventive, promotive and healing) in the nation, in name as well as truth is told. Isolate new labs for Cornea and Glaucoma clinical care and research have been built up. A Retina Centre has developed as a unit from inside the middle. The Centre gloats of best in class offices like Ultrasound Biomicroscopy, Visual Field analyzer, Short wave computerized perimetry, Frequency multiplied. UVEITIS Details: Uveitis is the irritation of the uvea, the pigmented layer that lies between the internal retina and the external sinewy layer made out of the sclera and cornea. The uvea comprises of the center layer of pigmented vascular structures of the eye and incorporates the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. Uveitis is an ophthalmic crisis and requires an exhaustive examination by an optometrist or ophthalmologist and dire treatment to control the irritation. |
