Re: Aims and Achievements of ISRO

As you requires I am here giving you detail about the Aims/ objectives and Achievements of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

Technological Objectives:

Design and realization of a Mars orbiter with a capability to survive and perform Earth bound maneuvers, cruise phase of 300 days, Mars orbit insertion / capture, and on-orbit phase around Mars.

Deep space communication, navigation, mission planning and management.

Incorporate autonomous features to handle contingency situations.

Scientific Objectives:
Exploration of Mars surface features, morphology, mineralogy and Martian atmosphere by indigenous scientific instruments.

Achievements of Department of Space during the year 2015:

Successful launch of GSLV with Indigenous Cryogenic Stage

Development of Next Generation Geo-Synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mk III

Navigational Satellite System

Augmenting the Satellite Communications infrastructure

National Meet on promoting Space Technology based tools and Applications on Governance & Development
