Can you tell me about the eligibility requirements and paper pattern for AIPGMEE - All India Postgraduate Medical Entrance Examination as I want to know it before applying for the course?

The National Board of Examination has been notified by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to conduct a competitive entrance examination - AIPGMEE - All India Postgraduate Medical Entrance Examination - on All-India Basis for admission to All India 50% quota MD/MS/Diploma Seats (except for colleges located in Jammu & Kashmir and Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh). Eligibility • One must be an Indian Citizen • Registration with MCI/State Medical Council is necessary and its documentary proof should be furnished at the time of counseling and admission in allotted College • One who has studied/passed MBBS from the state of Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are not eligible for AIPGMEE. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that they was nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges of Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana • One must have passed the MBBS Degree Course and completed compulsory rotatory Internship. • A candidate who, after passing the MBBS is undergoing 12 month compulsory rotating internship/practical training and is likely to complete before the entrance exam can take up the exam. AIPGMEE Exam Pattern Exam Mode Computer Based Test Exam Duration 3 Hours & 30 Minutes Language of Exam English Number of questions 300 - Where each question will have four (4) options and only one (1) will have correct response Marking Scheme The weightage of MCQ’s in each specialty will vary and examination authority, NBE has right to alter/vary/amend the marks of the question Negative Marking No negative marking in AIPGMEE 2016 |
