Can you tell me in detail about the Counselling process for All India Pre Medical/ Pre Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT), replaced by NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) 2017?

NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is a national level entrance test regulated by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET is conducted for those candidates seek admission into undergraduate medical & dental courses (MBBS/BDS). NEET Counselling will be organized through online mode. NEET Counselling The NEET centralized counselling will be supervised by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). MCC is constituted by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It has constituted to conduct online counselling for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses. The NEET counselling 2017 will be started from the third week of June 2017. Only NEET qualified candidates can appear in the counselling process. Candidates have to register themselves in the counselling process to confirm their seats in MBBS/BDS course & colleges. NEET Counselling Procedure The counselling procedure will be organized in three rounds: Online Registration: To participate in NEET counselling, one has to register by filling the basic details. Without registration, one will not able to participate in the counselling procedure. After registration, one will get a unique User ID & Password in registered Email ID & Mobile Number. One has to register with the given user id & password for further procedure. Choice Filling & Locking: One has to select the medical/dental colleges & courses as per the preference. After final selection, one has to click on “Save” button & lock the choices. It is necessary to lock the choices. Result Declaration: One will receive a SMS or email related to the allotted course & colleges after a few days of the counselling process. The seats will be allotted on the basis of rank & opted choice of colleges. Reporting to the Allotted College: After result announcement, one has to report in the allotted college and confirm the seat by paying the course fee. If, one failed to report in the allotted college at the given time frame the seats will be given to the next candidate. |
