The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test TANCET 2016 exam is conducted by Anna University for the admissions to the M.Tech and M.E in the various colleges in Tamil Nadu. The GATE 2016 qualified candidates are exempt from appearing for the TANCET 2016 Exam. The TANCET exam 2016 was conducted on 11 June 2016 TANCET Eligibility Criteria: B.E / B.Tech. / B.Arch. degree programme with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) B.Pharm. / B.Sc (Agri. / Forestry / Horticulture / Fishery) degree programme with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, which are prescribed with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) M.Sc. (5 years) Integrated Degree Programme with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) B.Sc. 3 years (Computer Science / Information Technology) and M.Sc. 2 years (Computer Science / Information Technology) with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) MCA (3 years) after 10+2+3 years bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) MCA Lateral Entry (2 years) after 10+2+3 years degree in BCA or B.Sc.(Computer Science / Information Technology) with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) Candidates with 10+2+AMIE OR 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE are also eligible to apply. Application Fees: Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) TANCET Exam Pattern: The question paper will have three parts with Part 1 & 2 being compulsory and Part 3 as per the discipline chosen by the candidates The questions will be set at undergraduate level.
