Whole blood makes up around 7% of a man's body weight. The cell components of blood decide its classification as red or white platelets, or as platelets. The liquid component is known as blood plasma. This plasma is made out of water, proteins, hormones, vitamins, amino acids, lipids, sugars and inorganic salts. Alongside water, which includes 90 percent of its sythesis, the most vital components in blood plasma are the three blood plasma proteins: albumins, globulins, and fibrinogen.

The salts present in plasma incorporate sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and bicarbonate. These salts capacity in numerous vital body forms. These salts are likewise called electrolytes.

• Blood is a liquid connective tissue.

• Its amount is 6.8 liters in man and 500 ml less in lady.

• Constitutes 6-8% of body weight and has a pH of 7.4.

Red Blood Corpuscles (RBCs)

• Also called erythrocytes, circle formed, no core, contains a shade called Hemoglobin, which gives blood its red shading and transports oxygen and carbon dioxide.

• Manufactured in Red Bone marrow.

• Life is of 120 days.

• No. of RBCs is 4.5-5 million/cubic mm. of blood.

White Blood Corpuscles (WBCS)

• Also called leucocytes, adjusted, with a core and far less various than RBCs (8,000 for each cubic mm. of blood).

• Manufactured in Red Bone marrow.

• Act as the warriors of body's guard system.Hemoglobin contains iron which consolidates with oxygen to give hemoglobin and our blood, a red shading.

PLATELETS

• Also called thrombocytes and are around 2,50,000 for each cubic mm. of blood.Platelets blood clump keeping in mind the end goal to point of confinement draining when your skin is cut. Blood clusters can infrequently have negative impacts, on the off chance that they shape in veins heading off to the mind they can bring about a stroke while thickening in a vein setting off to the heart can prompt a heart assault.

• Manufactured in Red Bone marrow.

RH FACTOR

• It is a blood antigen found in RBC.

• A man can be Rh+ or Rh–depending upon the nearness of Rh component in RBC.

• Avery imperative point is Rh+ can get blood from both Rh+ and Rh– yet Rh– can get blood from Rh– as it were.

• In world populace, Rh+ are 85% and Rh are 15%.

• Blood transfusion system was created by James Blundell.
