APTET Age Eligibility

Hello sir I am Deeepa and I am here as I want to know what is the age eligibility for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) so will you please tell me about this to me??

School Education Department of Government of Andhra Pradesh conducts Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET).

Age Limit for this Exam:
Applicant Age should be between 18-40 Year.
Age Relaxation as per govt rule will be given


Academic Qualification Required:

For 1st to 5th classes (Paper-I):

Candidates should have passed senior secondary/12th or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks or pursuing final year of 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Applicants should have passed in Intermediate /12th or equivalent with at least 50% marks or pursuing final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.E l. Ed.)
OR
Passed 12th /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks or pursuing final year of 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Exemption in Required Qualification:
For Sc/ST, the relaxation is of 5% or such percentage as permitted by Govt. at the time of admission to Teacher education Course concerned in minimum qualifying 5 marks at Intermediate / 12th level.

For 6th to 8th classes (paper II):

Applicants should have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com or pursuing final year of 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Candidates must have completed B.A. /B.Sc./B.Com pass with at least 45% marks or pursuing 1 – year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) Course.
OR
Aspirants should possessed B.A. / B.Sc./B.Com pass with minimum 50% marks or pursuing 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education)* Course.
OR
Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. E l. Ed.) course.
OR
Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed Course.


Exemption in Required Qualification:

For SC/ST/Differently able candidates:
-Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks in 12th/Senior Secondary Level is permissible.

-Also relaxation of 5% or the quantum of relaxation in terms of the Government Orders given at the time of admission into respective Teacher Education Course in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B. Sc/B.Com is admissible for SC/ST/BC.

-If the candidates has not secured the necessary percentage of marks in graduation degree (B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com) but secured in Post Graduate Degree in relevant school subject she/he will be suitable for applying for Paper-II.

-The above relaxation of 5% or the percentage permitted by Government is also appropriate in this regard as well for candidates belonging to SC /ST / BC candidates.

Other persons who are also eligible to apply:

Telugu Pandit: B.A. (Telugu Literature) or BA (Oriental Language-Telugu) or gradute degree with optional subject Telugu or MA (Telugu) pass or pursuing Telugu Pandit Training Certificate

Hindi Pandit: A graduate degree with optional subject Hindi or Bachelor of Oriental Language Hindi or Praveen of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha or Vidwan of Hindi Prachar Sabha, Hyderabad of any other equivalent recognized qualification in Hindi by the Government of A.P. or M.A., Hindi pass or pursuing Hindi Pandit Training Certificate.

Urdu Pandit: BA (Urdu Literature) or BA (Oriental Language Urdu) or Graduate Degree with optional subject Urdu or M.A. (Urdu) pass or pursuing Urdu Pandit Training Certificate.

Relaxation in Educational Qualification:

-A diploma/degree course in teacher education affiliated by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only will be measured.

-However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course documented by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only will be considered.

-Board of Intermediate Education of A.P. or Senior Secondary Education of an affiliated Board only will be considered.

-Also the Graduation Degree of a University Recognized by UGC only will be considered.
