Re: ARS Net Exam Eligibility

The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board was established on 1 November 1973 as an independent recruitment agency in pursuance of the recommendations of the Gajendragadkar Committee.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification


For ARS & NET (Prel) Exam a candidate must have a Master's degree or equivalent in the concerned subject

Age:

21-32 Years as on 01.08.2016 (Age relaxation as per the rules)

Nationality: A candidate must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan

ARS & NET Exam Pattern:


ASRB ARS & NET Exam consists of two stages ie. Preliminary Exam followed by Main Exam and Vice Vocal:

Priliminary Exam

Subject Type of Questions M.Marks Timming
Respective Professional Subject Objective Type 150 2 Hrs

1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in Prelim ARS Examination.
This is a Qualifying exam and marks scored will not be counted for final selection.

Main Exam

Subject Type of Questions No of Questions Marks Timming
Part A Very short answer type of question<10 words 40 80 3 Hrs.
Part B Short Answer type of question 1 or 2 paragraph 20 100
Part C Essay type or discriptive type 6 60
Total 240
