The Government of Assam, Department of School Education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) conducts Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) also known as Assam TET for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (Class I-V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Assam.

TET is a compulsory examination for all the B.Ed qualified candidates to be considered for Teacher jobs in schools run by the government and private managements. BA/B.Sc/ B.Com/BT with B.Ed is the minimum educational qualification to apply for Assam TET.

Secondary Education Department, Assam Government has published a notification for conducting Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Exam for the recruitment of 1618 Graduate Teacher (Hindi & Sanskrit) vacanices in Secondary Schools.

Eligible candidates applied online from 01-02-2016 to 15-02-2016.

Age Limit:
Candidate’s age should not be above 38 years as on 01-01-2016.

Educational Qualification:
One should possess following educational qualification.

Hindi Teacher:
Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Hindi as one of the subject with 50% marks and B.T/ B. Ed. degree from any recognized University/ Institutions

Sanskrit Teacher:
Shastri with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized University or B.A with Sanskrit as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University/ Institutions for S. No- 2.

Selection Process:
One is selected based on test and interview.
