Can you tell me the eligibility requirement for admission in B. Ed. in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) University as my cousin wants to take admission in it?

The eligibility requirement for admission in B. Ed. in IGNOU University is as follows:

Eligibility:
1. UGC recognized Bachelor’s degree or a higher degree with fifty (50%) percent marks from a recognized university.
However, for teachers appointed prior to the commencement of NCTE Regulation, Norms and Procedures, second amendment regulation dated 30.3.2010, the requirement of 50% marks will not apply.
2. Serving teachers with two years full time teaching experience in a Government or Government Recognized Primary/Sec/Sr. Sec School with registration number.
The compulsory teaching experience of 2 years must be completed on or before the last date of submission of Application as notified.
3. The reservation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer), War widows, Kashmiri migrants, physically handicapped (Disabled) and other categories will be as per the rules of the Central/State Government whichever is applicable.
There will be relaxation of 5% marks as per GOI.

IGNOU B Ed Admission Process:
The IGNOU provides admission to its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course through an entrance exam scheduled to be held usually in the months of August every year.

Admission will be done Regional Centre-wise on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India
