University of Kalyani invites application form for admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Course in the Unversity.

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme of University of Kalyani aims at developing the understanding and competencies required by practicing teachers for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary stage.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should be Graduate in a school subject from a recognized university.

Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree/or in the Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanity.

Bachelors in Engineering or Technology / B.C.A. / M.C.A. with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto.

Fresher should have at least fifty percent marks either in Bachelor's degree /or in the Master's degree in the school subject. For 'Master's Degree', courses of two years duration will be considered for scoring.

For fresh candidates, in case of Honours Graduates in school subject, the marks obtained in Honours subject will be considered.

In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects will be considered.

For fresh candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each method subject based on scoring.

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PWD candidates will be as per Govt. Rules. Relaxation of minimum qualifying marks will be as per Govt, rules.

Reservation of seats for the PWD : 3% of seats are provided for persons with disability having minimum degree of disability to the extent of 40% provided that their physical disability does not come in the way of pursuing the course.

Admission procedure –

Admission will be on the basis of scores against marks obtained in qualifying examinations and as per norms of University.

Payment of Application Fee :

Application fee is Rs. 400/- for General candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidates.
