Bar Council of India conducts an entrance test for identifying the ability of a young advocate to practice law in India.

Exam Dates
-Candidates can register for the test in October.
-Usually the test is held in nine languages mostly in the month of December.
-Aspirants can choose their nearest center among the 27 exam centers for attending the test.

Structure and Pattern of the BCI Entrance Test
-The entrance test comprises questions on the technical subjects in the LLB program.
-It is an objective type test, which includes 100 questions on various areas.
-The focus of the test is mainly on the reasoning capability of the aspirants
-The time duration of the exam is for a period of three and a half hours.
-The BCI issues the preparatory materials 6-8 weeks before the test.

Qualification Criteria for the BCI Entrance Test

-Must have completed 3 year course from a recognized University for admission in 5 year LLB program.
-There is no age limit for attending the test.
-Freshers are also eligible to attend the test.
