Essential Qualification for Scientist
For Engineering Disciplines
B.E / B.Tech Degree with minimum 60% marks from recognized University/ Institutions with one of following disciplines:

Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering

Candidates must required GATE Score for admission.

For Physics Discipline
MSc in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Electronics or BE/ BTech in Engineering Physics with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks.

Candidates must required GATE Score for admission.

For Chemistry Discipline
MSc in Chemistry with Physics up to BSc with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc.

Candidates must required GATE Score for admission.

Biosciences Discipline
MSc in Agriculture, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology,Biotechnology, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Plant Science, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Food Technology, Animal Science, Life Sciences and Biosciences
OR
BE/BTech/BSc (Tech) only in Food Technology with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks.

For Radiological Safety Engineering
MSc in Physics or Chemistry with Physics and Chemistry up to BSc with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc.

For Geology Discipline
MSc in Geology/ Applied Geology with Mathematics with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc.

For Geophysics Discipline
MSc in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics with Mathematics up to BSc with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc.

Those candidates having MSc (by research) or PhD are not eligible

Pay Scale:
Pay in Pay Band - Rs 15,600 Per Month (The officer will be placed in PB 3 - 15600-39100)
Grade Pay :- Rs 5400 PM
Dearness Allowances as applicable
House Rent Allowance @30%, 20% and 10% as applicable as per rules
Transport Allowance :- Rs 3200 + DA (A1 & A2 cities) / 1600 + DA ( Other cities)
