The Baruch College conducts Assessment Program consists of the CUNY Assessment Tests (CAT) in Reading, Writing and Mathematics Examinations. These tests are used to demonstrate an applicant's readiness for college-level academic work and to determine initial course placement Section which come under the exam CAT in Reading CAT in Writing CAT in Math 1 / 2, Skills Certification CAT in Math 3, Placement Policy on Reference Materials: Please note that reference materials, personal calculators and dictionaries are not permitted during the CUNY Assessment Tests in Reading and Mathematics. The use of a non-electronic dictionary may be used only during the CUNY Assessment Test in Writing. The use of any prohibited devices/resources may result in your examination being voided. Punctuality Policy All examinees must be punctual to their scheduled session. Examinees that arrive late will not be granted access to the Test Center. Students who arrive late may visit the Office of Testing and Evaluation to schedule a new appointment.
