The Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department (SCSTWD) and Backward Classes Welfare department introduced the post matric scholarship for the students of Bihar.

The department is working to provide the following services for students in the state as the mentioned below:

Ø Providing the scholarship for the EBC category students along with the allowance for the books and accessories.

Ø Providing the facility of loan in low interest rate for their development and to open new schools / hostels for their studies.

Ø Opening new Cooperatives for EBC students and giving financial assistance for their educational with cultural development.

Eligibility for Scholarship –
Before going to apply for the scholarship the candidates must have to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria. See the details of candidates who can apply for the scholarship of post matric scheme 2014-15 in Bihar state.

Ø The applicant must be having permanent residence in the Bihar state with the proof such as the domicile certificate, ration card etc.

Ø The applicant must be studying in any of the recognized educational institution of government or non-government under the Bihar state.

Ø The applicant’s caste must be mentioned on the list of backward classes / extreme backward classes (BC / EBC) by the state govt.

Ø The applicant’s family income is not exceed more than one lakh rupees (Rs. 100000) from all the sources and must be having income certificate.

Ø After passing a class / subject pattern the students are not able to get the fund again as after passing the ISC / ICOM exam, IA / BA / B.SC, B.COM, MSC / M.COM, M.ED.

Ø Only two students are able to get the scholarship fund from one family. This rule is not applicable for the girl students in the Bihar state.

List of documents required:

Caste certificate, income certificate and domicile certificate
Educational qualification documents and last year passed mark sheet.
All educational institution admission and other compulsory fees
Educational institution approval letter related documents
Hosteller certificate (if student is studying in the hostel)
Affidavit from the parents of students
Passport size photos and sign on the application form
