National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam is to determine eligibility for college & university level lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.

Eligibility for NET
-You must have completed Mater degree(PG) in any steam from recognized university with minimum of 55% marks (50% for ST/SC/PH/Females)
-Final year students are also eligible
-The candidates appearing for JRF should not be above 28 years of age.
-The candidates appearing only for lectureship have no upper age limit.
-Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or women or visually handicapped.
