I would like to tell you that the people of Bihar know Bihar Joint Entrance Exam as Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination.

Eligibility

The candidate appearing for the exam must have passed class 12th (intermediate), from a recognized board having 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Math/biology.

The candidate belonging to reserved category are given some relaxation in the percentage as per the norms of the government.

The candidate should be 17 Minimum years of age

Application fees

The candidates have to fill the BCECE form through the online mode, after filling all the details and uploading photograph and signature, candidates have to pay the application fees.

The application fees is Rs. 660/- (for General and OBC candidates) or Rs. 330/- (for SC and ST candidates).

The candidates belong to PCMB group are required to pay the application fees of Rs. 730/- (for General and OBC candidates) or Rs. 365/- (for SC and ST candidates).

Reservation
Candidates who belong to the Bihar state and have a valid caste certificate of Bihar state they will get reservation in the college.

Scheduled Caste(SC) 16%
Scheduled Tribe (ST) 1%
Extremely Backward Class (EBC) 18%
Backward Class (BC) 12%
Reserved Category Girls (RCG) 3%
Disabled Quota (DQ) 3%

Exam pattern
The question papers of both the stages will be of 10+2 level and will carry questions in the English language.

Each question will have its Hindi version as well. Both the question paper will carry objective type questions only.

Stage 1
The whole exam will carry 600 marks in total, with a time limit of 02 hours and 15 minutes. Moreover, each section will carry 200 marks.
1. Maths
2. Chemistry
3. Physics
4. Biology


Stage 2
Each section will carry 400 marks with a time limit of 1.5 hours each. All the questions will be of Multiple choice type and each question will carry 4 marks each.

There will be 100 questions in each subject and the candidates opting for engineering will have to attempt Mathematics section along with the compulsory sections,i.e. Physics and Chemistry.
