The School of Biochemical Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi was established by UGC as a part of the Institute of Technology.

The main objectives of the school were to organize R&D activities in the fields of Biochemical Engineering and to offer courses in various departments of the Institute.

Courses-

The School offers IDD M Tech (5 yrs), M Tech (2 yrs), and Ph D courses.

Some related areas of Biochemical are also being taught at B.Tech. and M.Tech levels as elective subjects

Admission

The admission to IDD M Tech course is made through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by Indian Institutes Technology

Admission to M Tech course through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institutes Technology
