The Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) was set up in 1971 to regulate and improve the intermediate education of Andhra Pradesh.

It was established to make intermediate education accessible to all section of the society.

Functions of Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP)

-Prescribing syllabi and text books

-Granting affiliation to the institutions offering Intermediate course

-Laying down the baisc regulations for the administration of Junior Colleges

-Publishing text books

-Prescribing qualifications for teachers.

-Conducting the academic inspection of Junior Colleges

-Conducting examinations

-Processing results and issuing certificates


Exams conducted by Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP)
Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) conducts the Annual Examination in March/April and the Advances Supplementary Examination in June/July.
The Board conducts the Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Examination for 1st Year (Junior) and Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Examination for 2nd Year (Senior) for class 10th and 12th respectively.
Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) also conducts the Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examination (IPASE) for the students who want to retake their final exams in case if they failed in annual examination.
