Hello sir, is there any one can provide me cost for Bone Marrow Transplantation in AIIMS?

The most transplanted organ in the world is Kidney. India ranks second in the number of Kidney Transplants done worldwide owing to high technical expertise available and of course, the cost.

A five-member team were formed, comprising Professor Moloy Ghosh, who heads the haematology department, Dr Maitrayee Bhattacharya, trained in clinical haematology in AIIMs Delhi, Dr Somnath Mukherjee, trained in transfusion medicine at PGI, Chandigarh and Dr Jayanta Chandrak.

The whole transplant process costs about Rs 2,00,000. Since the patient is not from a well-to-do family, the hospital bore almost the entire cost. In a private hospital, the transplant alone costs a minimum of Rs 5,00,000, excluding other expenses, such as the cost of the isolation ward and doctors' fees.
