Ensuing upon the amalgamation of two RRBs viz Ballia Kshetriya Gramin Bank and Etawah Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Ballia-Etawah Gramin Bank supported by Central Bank of India appeared on 01 January 2010.

The Bank operational region is spread more than four locale i.e. Ballia, Mau (just in one piece in particular Ratanpura), Etawah and Auraiya of Uttar Pradesh. The bank is incorporated into the second calendar of Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 as a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

The Bank is working with system of 139 branches spread more than four region i.e. 83 branches in Ballia area, 5 branches in Mau region, 26 branches in Etawah region and 25 branches in Auraiya locale. Out of 139 branches 4 are urban, 18 are semi urban and rest 117 is provincial.

Approved Capital of the Bank is ` five crore. The paid up capital of ` two crore is subscribed by the Govt. of India, Central Bank of India (support bank) and Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in the proportion of 50:35:15 separately.
