Eligibility Amount

The following scholarships, to be known as University Merit Scholarships, shall be awarded annually by the Vice-Chancellor on the basis of various results of the University Examinations.
Unless specified otherwise these scholarships shall be tenable for the entire duration of the course of studies mentioned against each category.

The number and value of each scholarship shall be as under:- Rs.200/- Per Month
Note:-
The scheme shall be open to the students of the colleges/Institutes affiliated or maintained with this University only.
On the basis of the result of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Part-I (Pass Course)
One Scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a part thereof in each group i.e. Humanities, Science and Commerce for doing B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. II (pass) subject to a minimum of one scholarship in each group.
On the basis of the result of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Part-I (Honours ) Rs.200/- Per Month
One scholarship for each subject for standing first in the aggregate of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Hons.) Part-I exam. for doing the respective degree course.
On the basis of the result of LL.B. Part-I 1st year (I&II Sem.) Rs.200/- Per Month
One scholarship for LL.B. course for standing first in the aggregate of LL.B. Part-I (I & II Semester) for doing LLB Course
On the basis of the result of Visharda (MDU) Rs.200/- Per Month
One scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a part thereof for joining Shastri course (M.D.U. Rohtak and Gurukul Jhajjar Scheme) in any of the associate institutions of M.D.U., Rohtak.
On the basis of the result of Uttar Madyama (Gurukul Scheme) Rs.200/- Per Month
One scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a part thereof for joining Shastri Course (M.D.U., Rohtak and Gurukul Jhajjar scheme) in any of the associate Institutions of M.D.U., Rohtak
On the basis of the result of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Final (Pass Course) Rs.300/- Per Month
One scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a part thereof in each group i.e. Humanities, Science and Commerce for doing M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. subject to a minimum one scholarship in each group.
On the basis of the result of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.Final (Hons) Rs.300/- Per Month
One scholarship for each subject for standing first in the aggregate of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.(Hons.) examination for doing M.A./M.Sc./M.Com.
On the basis of the result of LL.B.(Final) Rs.300/- Per Month
One scholarship for joining LL.M.course.
On the basis of the result of B.Ed. Rs.300/- Per Month
One scholarship for joining M.Ed. course.
On the basis of the result of Shastri Rs.300/- Per Month
Two scholarships (one for each of the two schemes) for doing Acharya or M.A.(Sanskrit). The scholarship(s) on the basis of Shastri examination shall be admissible to the student(s) joining the Acharya course at the Shrimad Dayanand Vidyapeeth, Jhajjar, notwithstanding the fact that this institution is of the associate status of this University.
All the regular and full time degree courses including M.Phil. other than the courses offered through distance education mode, be included in the merit scholarship schemes. These scholarships shall be available to students of all those courses which have a separate entity. The nomenclature of course, scheme of exam. and duration of the course be taken into consideration for determining the separate entity. Minimum of one scholarship shall be offered for each such course and further one each on 1000 students.
On the basis of the result of B.B.A/BCA/B.Tech.-1st (Ist & IInd Sem.) Rs.200/- Per Month
One scholarship for each course for standing Ist in the aggregate of BBA/BCA/B.Tech.Part-1(I & IInd Sem. together) for doing the respective degree course.
The scheme shall be open to the students of the colleges/Institutes affiliated or maintained with this University only.
