The TTA examination shall have a single paper. This paper will have a time period of 3 hours. The total marks that are carried by this paper are 200.

The test is classified into 3 parts. The divisions are:

General Ability Test – This part shall have 20 questions
Basic Engineering – This part shall have 90 questions
Specialization – This part shall have 90 questions
