The Calicut University was established in 1968.

It has approval with UGC and accrediation by NAAC with A Grade.

Mr. Valsarajan is Dean of Student Welfare.

Besides holding elections to University Union the departments supervises the conduct of the inter collegiate competitions and Inter zone Arts Festival and selects students for participation in Inter University Youth Festivals.
