Calicut University M Tech Admission
I have completed my B.Tech and want to pursue M.Tech from the Calicut University. Can you please provide me the application procedure to take admission in the M.Tech of the Calicut University? Also tell me the last date to apply for the M.Tech admission process at this university?

Dept. of Nanoscience & Technology of the University of Calicut offers M. Tech Programme in Nanoscience & Technology. The course is programmed in the semester pattern with research oriented elective papers and project work. It comes under the Faculty of Science. Eligibility Criteria One must have B. Tech. in Nanoscience and Technology/Physics/Applied Physics/Materials Science/Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry. A minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is essential for the eligibility for admission to this course. Those awaiting results can also apply on the condition that their admission will be subject to the result of the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient. Candidates who have passed AMIE/AMIETE examination and satisfying the following conditions are also eligible for admission to M. Tech courses in Institutions under University of Calicut (i) They must have a valid GATE score. (ii) A minimum mark of 55% for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examinations. (iii) Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of specialization after acquiring the qualifying Degree. Admission shall be normally restricted to those with valid GATE score on merit basis. However, this stipulation is relaxed in case of sponsored candidates In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from Kerala state will be considered on the basis of merit in qualifying examination. Selection Procedure Admission in it will be based on the marks secured in an entrance examination conducted by the University among the eligible candidates. Entrance Examination is based on question based on Physics, Chemistry and Material Science.
