Jadavpur University was flooded with as many as 1018 placement offers in the year 2015, resulting into the highest placements in last 15 years.

The placement offers had come for the engineering students of the varsity. The engineering department of the varsity has a total strength of 950 students and 16 faculties.

The campus placement that began July last year, roped in corporates like Amazon, Siemens, VISA, Microsoft, Bharat Petroleum and many others. Both national and international placements were on offer.

As many as 28 students of the university received two offers and four students received three job offers together.

While the average remuneration offered to students stood at Rs 10 lakh per annum, the highest soared around Rs 26 lakh per annum.
