Entry requirements
• A good honours degree (2:2 or above), GCSE Maths at Grade B, GCSE English Language and GCSE Science at Grade C or above (or equivalent) and to have passed the government's skills test in literacy and numeracy. It is desirable that also have an A level in mathematics or a related subject at grade C or above, and/or significant related, education based work experience.

• One will be asked to complete the primary mathematics subject knowledge enhancement course to ensure understanding of mathematics in the primary curriculum is completely secure before start the course.

• One will also need to have, and demonstrate, a real desire, and commitment, to be the best teacher can be.

• One will need to have a minimum of 10 days recent experience in a primary school. If one cannot spend the full 10 days in a primary school prior to application, it can still consider application as long as one has spent 5 days in a primary classroom. If one is then successful in being offered a place on the course, completing the additional 5 days would be a condition of offer and would need to be undertaken prior to starting on the course.

If one is accepted on to the course, will be required to independently arrange and complete a further set period of preliminary observation in a primary school, currently 10 days, supported by an independent study pack.
