The University of Canterbury in Christchurch is New Zealand's second oldest university. It was established in 1873 through the efforts of the Canterbury Collegiate Union. It now operates its main campus in the suburb of Ilam.

Master of Business Administration

The University of Canterbury’s MBA programme is oriented towards general management.

The MBA at UC is internationally accredited by the London-based Association of MBAs (AMBA).

The degree may be completed in a minimum of 15 months full-time study or part-time in up to five years.

Entry requirements-

Three-year bachelor’s degree from a New Zealand university, or a qualification or combination of qualifications considered to be equivalent.

If you gained your qualifications overseas, these will need to be assessed to make sure they are of an equivalent standard.

Specific requirements-

Candidates must be approved by the Dean of Commerce who will take account of the relevance and standard of previous studies and experience.

A degree or the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration must have been completed with good grades, and at least five years managerial work experience is required.

You are also required to meet UC’s English language requirements.

The MBA schedule incorporates 12 compulsory courses (Group A), six courses (or the equivalent) from a specified list of options (Group B), and a project worth six courses.
