Well the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is a government-aided institute and deemed university for the study and research of space science, located at Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.


IIST offers three btech courses - avionics, aerospace and physical sciences.

These courses are designed to make you to ISRO engineers.

There is no campus recruitment.

Also, there is a non-depreciating bond of 10 lakhs that you will work in isro/dos for 5 years. (There are rumors that the bond terms may change this year.)

As for higher studies, you will have to either resign (paying the bond money) or wait for three years to apply for a study leave.
