Re: Casio SK-8
Casio SK-8 an uncommon little console from 1987 (decorated case date stamp) is one of the successors of the popular Casio SK-1 lo-fi sampler. It can put away to 4 tests (playable through drumpads or console) and keeps them in battery moved down memory after force off. In inverse to the SK-1 it incorporates a "song guide" key lighting highlight for music educating (not the keys itself illuminate but rather a column of little LEDs above them) and a ROM-Pack music cartridge space. Shockingly this instrument is feeling the loss of the pleasant drawbar synthesizer and portamento of the SK-1, and the tekkno blip drums were supplanted by customary percussion tests without backup. Likewise the sequencer is path less complex than on SK-1. This instrument was additionally discharged as Realistic Concertmate-800. By a console network easteregg the SK-8 can be effectively changed into an oriental console. Main Features: 32 midsize keys built-in speaker main voice polyphony 4 notes 8 OBS preset sounds {piano, vibraphone, guitar, pipe organ, trumpet, violin, flute, clarinet} 10 OBS rhythms {rock, disco, swing 2beat, swing 4beat, samba, bossa nova, beguine, march, slow rock, waltz} lo-fi sampler (up to 4 low- res samples, with tuning, reverse & loop function) 6 selectable preset envelopes (usable only for samples, most sound very similar) 4 OBS sample select buttons 4 rubber sample pads (not usable for internal percussion) simple sequencer (polyphonic record/ playback of all sounds, no edit) tempo +/- buttons (24 steps) ROM- Pack music cartridge slot for melody guide and "auto play" (jukebox mode) "melody guide" keyboard play training feature with key lighting (32 red & green LEDs above the keys) "part tone" switch {melody, obligato, accomp} to select the sound for the individual parts in ROM- Pack musics sample based sound generator for 4 voices + rhythm complex multi- chip hardware: CPU? "OKI M6283-05, 722022" (100 pin SMD) percussion sample ROM?= "OKI M6294-02, 722010" (28 pin DIL) ROM? "NEC D23C256EAC 029, 8702KX" (28 pin DIL) RAM? "NEC D43256C-12L, 8707EU025" (28 pin DIL) DAC?
