Re: CAT Exam Limit

As per my knowledge, there is no upper or below age limit as long as you hold a valid graduation to apply for CAT (Common Administration Test) in India.

CAT Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for appearing in CAT, the aspirants should be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with minimum 50% marks or in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

The final year graduation students were also eligible to apply provided they complete the degree and obtain the cut off percentage within the stipulated time frame.

Although IIMs and other top B-schools prefer students with significant work experience, it is not mandatory as far as eligibility is concerned. However, the B-schools have their separate eligibility criteria.

List of equivalent qualifications for CAT Eligibility Criteria were:
1. Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2/Post B.Sc./Post Diploma ) or B.E/B. Tech equivalent exams, of Professional Societies, recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers India).

2. Any Qualification recognized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by UGC recognized University/Institutions.

3. Cases not covered above equivalency certificate to be produced from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi

Mode of Selection:

 Applicants will be selected on the basis of computer based test which comprises of two sections with negative marking on each wrong answer.
 Candidates who qualified CAT will be called for GD (Group Discussion)/Interview for final selection.
