CAT Exam Is For What Purpose
Hello sir, will you please tell me exact purpose of CAT exam? The CAT is conducted for what purpose? The main purpose of CAT exam is to provide Admission to post-graduate management programs (MBA, etc.) in IIMs and various other Indian universities and colleges. The CAT score is used separately by each institute along with other parameters like academic performance, work experience, group discussion, written assessment and interview performance etc. to select candidates. Detail about the CAT exam: Eligibility: Candidates have Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Able (DA) category) Reservation: 15.00% Scheduled Caste (SC) 7.50% Scheduled Tribe (ST) 27.00% Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates belonging to the “non-creamy” layer 3.00% Differently Abled (DA) CAT divided into three sections: Quantitative Aptitude (QA) having 34 questions Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) with 32 questions Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) with 34 questions The total duration for the exam was 180 minutes and had 100 questions Last edited by Neelurk; June 19th, 2020 at 01:59 PM. |
