CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is one of the popular organizations which conduct various examination and NET (National Eligibility Test) is one of them.

It is a national level examination which is schedules to be conducted in June and December every year.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed or perusing a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (General) and 50%(ST,SC) are eligible to apply for it.

Age Limit

For Junior Research Fellowship-
Candidate’s age should not be more than 28 years.
Age relaxation is applicable as per govt. rule.

For Lecturer-ship-
There is no limitation in age.

Application Fee
If you belong to general category then you need to pay Rs. 600
If you belong to OBC Category then you need to pay Rs. 300
If you belong to SC, SC category then you need to pay Rs. 150

Selection Criteria: The election of a candidate will be based on the marks obtained in the Written Exam and Personal Interview.

CBSE UGC NET June 2016 Exam Pattern:

There will be three papers in the test.
All three papers will contain only objective type questions.

Paper 1

Total Mark: 100;

Total number of question: 60 out of which 50 must be attempted by candidates

Exam duration: 1 Hour 15 minutes

Paper 2

Total Mark: 100;

Total number of question: 50 (all questions are compulsory)

Exam duration: 1 Hour 15 minutes

Paper 3

Total Mark: 150;

Total number of question: 75 (all questions are compulsory)

Exam duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
