Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCS University), formerly Meerut University, is a public state university located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India was established in 1965.

The University has many degree colleges affiliated to it. They fall in two divisions: Saharanpur and Meerut with nine districts including Saharanpur, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Gautam Budh Nagar, Bagpat, Hapur, Bulandshahr and Ghaziabad. There are 485 colleges in 2014 affiliated to the university.

As per my knowledge, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut does not have any Distance Education Department.
